This document provides developers with the information necessary to assess their applications for accessibility. Some of these tests should be performed using various types of adaptive technologies. As Karl Gahlke points out in his article on "Requirements For Adaptive Modules in Linux", "We have a legal obligation (The American Disabilities Act (ADA) in the United States) and a moral obligation to make Linux accessible to as many individuals as possible."
