I am a new kid on the block of Linux Family. Now my problem is that i have Windows 7 installed onto my Laptop and i want to install Ubuntu 11.10 (Dual-Boot). I have 2 primary partitions as Local Disk C: of size 50 gb and System Recovery of Size 100 mb, and 5 Logical Partitions as:

D:/ of size 100 gb, E:/ of size 100 gb, F:/ of size 100 gb, G:/ of size 70 gb, and H:/ of size 55 gb.

When i am trying to install the root partition of ubuntu 11.10 in H:/ drive of size 20 gb the rest, i.e., 30 gb is showing unusable. Now please suggest me on how to install ubuntu in H:/ Drive? And should i install inLogical Partition or Primary Partition????
