From dsrao on Thu, 20 Jan 2000

Hi ,

Where can i find idled daemon for Linux(RedHat 6.1) & what are the neccessary steps for installing the same. Thanks in advance.

(!) Look at:
http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/idled.html
... The RPM Find repository (http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM) is about the best place to find contributed RPMs for just about any RPM distribution. There is also an rpmfind utility (http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/rpmfind.html) which can automate much of the process of finding RPM files, resolving their dependencies, etc.
I'm not sure if idled is still being maintained.
You might also look at autolog (http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/autolog.html) which can also automatically log out shell sessions after inactivity. The only RPMs I found on this were for S.u.S.E. --- so You might have to grab an SRC RPM and rebuild it. (Red Hat doesn't list dependencies and provisions using the same keys as S.u.S.E).
